This privately owned fishery set on farmland, comprises three different pools all of which have islands. Dromonby has lots of carp averaging around 3lb, as well as a few doubles, tench to 3lb rudd to 1lb 8o roach to 1lb. Kirkby has carp to 24lb, ide to 3lb and roach and rudd to 1lb 8oz, whilst Busby boasts carp to 15lb, as well as plenty of tench, roach, rudd and the occasional golden orfe.

Floating crusts works well on Kirkby in the evenings, as does corn fished in the margins. Maggot or bread flake fished shallow will catch ide, although most regular baits will catch on this venue.

Tench show well close in, and the islands and margins are noted carp areas. Tickets are available on the bank, and night fishing is prohibited but only by prior arrangement. Barbless hooks only and no keepnets. There is disabled access.

To get there, from the South (Thirsk) head up the A19 and branch off right towards Stokesley on the A172. Pass the right turns for Carlton in Cleveland and take the next right towards Kirkby/Great Broughton. Pass Great Busby and the fishery is on the right.
