Set in the picturesque Lancashire countryside, this fishery opened to the public in September 2009. Quiet and tranquil surroundings, with easy access to the well kept pegs, it's ideal for the angler who values his comfort.

The main species is tench, and there are a lot of good quality tincas to be had, as well as carp, roach, bream and even golden orfe. There are 52 pegs on the relatively narrow, rectangular shaped lake, and there is an island running through the centre of the lake that stretches from one end to the other.

The River Douglas runs through the fishery, and there are pegs available to fish on the river as well as a 28 peg canal due to open in 2010.

Match bookings can be made by calling Richard Wells on 07766 141388. Payment must be made in the office prior to fishing, otherwise there is a £10 charge on the bank.

To get there, from junction 27 on the M6, head towards Parbold. Travel past the speed camera down Parbold Hill then turn right on to Lancaster Lane. Then take the 3rd left on to Robin Lane sign posted Rufford. It is then approximately 1/2 mile to the fishery sign on the left.
