UKCF is on a distinguished road
Default Hatherton Lake, Walsall, West Midlands

Address - Hatherton Lake, Walsall Arboretum, Walsall, West Midlands, WS1
Tel: 07736 388412
SatNav WS1 2QH (Arboretum Road properties)
Ticket Prices - £3.50 adults, £1.75 concessions
Stock - Mixed coarse, including bream and tench

Set right in the heart of Walsall, in parkland, this easily accessible Council-owned fishing venue is proving to be popular with anglers of all ages. Depths go to as much as 40ft, the venue has 30 pegs to fish from, including one for the disabled.

Stocks include mainly bream to 4lb and roach to 1lb 8oz. Also available are tench to 4lb, perch to 2lb, hybrids and the occasional small pike. For bream, fish a conventional groundbait feeder with decent quality crumb with your favourite additives, plus a few chopped worms.

On the hook try redworm tipped with a maggot, a caster or breadflake. There's no need to fish far out, as 20 yards is ample. Float fishing chopped worm also works for a few bream, skimmers and bigger roach, while maggot and caster can also be tried, especially for roach.

Ticket prices are £3.50 for adults, with OAP's, U16s and registered disabled £1.75. Permits can be bought on the bank. Ask about season permits. There is disabled access and there are toilets on site.

From M6, J10, follow the signs for Walsall. Fork left and pick up the ring road. As you approach a large roundabout, Broadway North is straight ahead. Go down here and take the first left into Arboretum Road. Park here, and access the lake on your left.
