Whelford Pools is set in the tranquil surroundings in the heart of the Cotswolds. Noted as one of the top Day Ticket Carp Venues in the country, Whelford Pools is home to beautiful Mirror, fully scaled, Linear and Common Carp upto 29lb.
Day Ticket Lake -
Whelford Pools is an established mature lake that extends to four acres in size. An interesting complex now comprising three areas of water linked by two channels.
There are two islands with numerous features such as lily pads and reed beds and rushes.
The lake has depths of up to eight feet and has underwater features such as gravel bars and silt sections.
The waters are home to Carp weighing in at up to 29lbs, with a great many at 20lbs plus, the average size is about 19lbs.There are also Pike weighing in at up to low 20lb’s, Perch to 3lb 8oz, Roach to 2lb 9oz, specimen Tench to 12lb and Bream to 8lb.
Syndicate Lake -The Syndicate Lake is a pretty, three-acre lake with depths up to 12 feet. There are numerous features and an island. The well-stocked lake has approximately 120 Carp weighing up to 34lb.
The Syndicate Lake is open only to 25 members per year, no day tickets are available.
