Thorne DAA has the fishing at this popular two-water site. Long Pond has 40 pegs and has carp to 28lb, pike to 20lb, tench to 7lb, bream to 6lb, ide to 3lb 8, roach 1lb 8oz plus a few perch. The larger Island Pond has plenty of carp to 16lb, F1s to 4lb 8oz, then similar stocks as per Long Pond without the pike.
Tickets from the cafe before fishing. £3.50 per day, OAPs, registered disabled or u16s £2.50. If closed they are £1 extra on the bank. Disabled access. Toilets on site. Open all year. Thorne DAA membership covers this venue as well as the canal and is £13 adults, £8 concessions.
From J6, M18 take the A614 towards Thorne. Pass the railway bridge and the fishery is 400 yards further on, on your right.
