Quality fishing is available at this well sheltered, privately owned 1.5 acre lake complete with a feature island and picturesque lily beds. The average depth of the lake is around 4.5ft and it contains some nice carp running up to the 27lb mark plus other species. Accomodation in the form of holiday cottages that sleep up to six persons is also available.

Try for the bigger carp with legered hair rigged boilies of various flavours and makes. Large halibut pellets are also good. During the warmer months carp can be taken off the top in the evenings with dog biscuits and crust. Sweetcorn, luncheon meat or a slow sinking piece of bread are also worth a try.

Tickets on the bank. Fishing dawn til dusk only. Barbless hooks only. No carp in keepnets. Open all year.

From Newquay head south on the A392. At the roundabout turn right onto the A3075 to Goonhavern. At Goonhavern turn left onto the B3285 and after one mile the fishery is signed on the right.
