This natural shallow lake, averaging only 2ft deep, is one of many under the control of Hassocks DAS. The 60 peg venue has a decent head of hard fighting carp, topping out at around 12lb. The other main species are roach and rudd to 1lb, the venue also contains some perch, eels and crucians.

Surface fished crust and dog biscuit work well when its warm for the carp. Try a small method feeder with soft pellet, corn, meat or maggot or pole and waggler fish the same baits to reedbeds or lily pad features. For roach and rudd try float fishing maggot or caster over loose feed.

Members only. Adults £60 plus a one off joining fee of £5, joint man and wife £84/£5, family (man wife and two juniors) £104/£5, OAPs £27/£1, joint OAPs (man and wife) £44/£1, under 18s £22. Under 12s must be adult accompanied. A member can purchase a guest ticket. Membership via local tackle shops or website.

From Chailey head north on the A275, going over the junction with the A272. Keep on the A275 and fork left onto Warrs Hill Lane. Keep on this road and turn left at Lindfield Farm to the fishery and car park.
