Measuring up at just over one-acre this countryside lake is a haven for pleasure anglers with no contests taking place in the summer months. The lake now has three islands and an average depth of around 4.5ft.

This borehole fed, well balanced mixed fishery has carp of all sizes to 20lb, tench and crucian carp to 1lb 8oz plus roach and rudd to 1lb. There are no particular top swims, as this lake has a fairly uniform depth.

Day tickets are £10 with registered OAP's and disabled at £5. Half day tickets, mornings or afternoons are available at £5. Tickets on the bank, disabled anglers should ring before setting out to reserve stage.

From Maidenhead, J8 pick up the road, following the signs to White Waltham. Continue on to Waltham St Lawrence. From Waltham St Lawrence take the road to West End then pick up Plough Lane taking you to Mire lance and the fishery.
