Harleston, Wortwell and District Angling Club control the fishing on this six-pit complex. Four of the pits are available on a day ticket, they range in size from the massive 111-acre Ocean pit to the one acre Halls pit.

Ocean contains many spoecies including untapped carp that go to over 20lb. No.1 has carp to 38lb plus a variety of other species. Middle for carp to 17lb, averaging 8-9lb. Halls has a handful of carp to 33lb and again other species. The two members only pits have all sorts of species, including big carp topping 30lb.

The bigger carp, in the bigger waters, inevitably fall to legered hair rigged boilies or halibut pellets. On the smaller waters, float fishing or stalking tactics can score well. Other tactics include the Method feeder with any of the baits mentioned plus sweetcorn, paste or maggots. In the cooler conditions a straight leger approach is recommended with baits like sweetcorn or dead red maggots.
