Idyllically set in the lush Shropshire countryside, this top rated fishery has all the modern day amenities anglers need. There are a dozen different pools and they all contain a mix of species including carp to 24lb, ghost carp to 18lb, bream to 5lb, tench to 4lb, perch, chub and F1s to 3lb plus roach to over the 1lb mark.

Carp show to most methods but fishing corn, pellet, caster or maggot are probably the best tactics. Freelining a piece of bread crust, dog biscuit or even using a fly work well in the evenings and can pick off the bigger carp. Plenty of silver fish action to float fished maggot or caster, fished over regular loose feed.

Ticket prices are: Adult £6, OAPs and u16s £5, u12s £4. Tickets from the house before fishing, if closed then on the bankj. From April to October inclusive, fishing is from 6.30am to 8pm only. Winter times are 8am to 4pm. Disabled access. Barbless hooks only. No keepnets. Food and toilets available.

From Bridgnorth take the B4373 towards Broseley and Ironbridge. Go through the arch at the top of Bridgnorth, go down the hill and take the first right into Stanley Lane. Pass the golf course and a mile further on you will see the sign for Octoplus Boldings. Turn left here to the house and the fishery.
