This 300 year old former one-acre pit really is a picture, and over the years has lost none of its charm. It has been updated with purpose built stagings. The venue is popular, containing carp to 26lb, tench to 7lb, elusive perch topping 4lb, chub and bream to 3lb, crucian carp to 2lb 8oz plus roach and rudd to 1lb 8oz.

This really is a genuine mixed fishery and you can target the carp on boilies or try surface fishing when it's quiet. Tench to float fished corn. For mixed catches, smaller carp are more than possible, float fish maggot, caster, chopped worm, corn or bits of meat. Worms are always worth trying for the bigger perch.

Day tickets are; adults £6, half day tickets (after 1pm) £5, evening permits (after 6pm) £3. All permits must be purchased before fishing from the farmhouse. Fishing 7am to dusk on a day ticket. Disabled access. No night fishing. Barbless hooks only. No carp in keepnets. No pellets. Food outlets nearby. Club bookings welcomed.

From J9, M42, J4a, M6 or toll T2, M6 follow the signs towards Lichfield/Tamworth. When you reach the Belfry roundabout take the A4091 towards Tamworth. After one mile turn left into Brick Kiln Lane. The farmhouse is then on your right, buy your permits here and go down the track to the pool and parking.
