The complex comprises of eleven lakes beside the River Tas in the heart of Norfolk and offers the best coarse and carp fishing available on a day ticket in the region.

There are three main carp lakes, Grove, Heron & Broadwing, all of which are available to fish on a day ticket. The current Carp record was set on the Broadwing Lake, where the ghost carp named the ‘lady of the lake’ was caught weighing in at a massive 41lb 3oz.

Ticket prices are currently £10 for a day ticket 7am to 6 pm, and £10 for 6pm to 7 am, making it basically £20 for 24 hours. There is a tackle, bait and general convenience shop on site.

The carp lakes have all been stocked differently to ensure whatever type of specimen hunter you are, there will be a lake just right for you. With Grove being the ‘Runs’ water, then Heron heavily stocked with 20s and 30s and Broadwing with 30s and 40s.

The carp lakes also have a strong head of hard fighting pike with the current record sitting at over 30lbs as well as some very large perch and eels. Not only does Taswood boast great pike fishing, it is also just half an hours drive away from the idyllic Norfolk Broads made famous for its 40lb plus pike, so a stay at a Taswood Lakes holiday lodge can combine fishing on your doorstep at Taswood whilst exploring the nearby Norfolk Broads.

On the coarse side, every season, catches in excess of 100lbs are recorded, comprising of specimen Tench, Roach, Chub and Bream not to mention the Carp for which Taswood has made its name. Like the carp lakes all the coarse lakes are well stocked and contain a variety of species to cater for all types of angler; Tench lakes, mixed pleasure lakes, match style carp lakes, whatever your mood there is fishing to suit.
