Bed and Breakfast accomodation is available at this traditional 100-acre working farm. The 16th century farmhouse accomodation overlooks the 0.75-acre lake and makes for a very pleasant setting. The lake has a central island and is stocked with carp to 26lb. There are also a few roach to be caught.

As this lake is all about carp most baits work well. You can catch them off the top on a warm day on bread crust or dog biscuits. The fish show all over, and you can fool them in the margins on float fished or legered sweetcorn, paste, pellet, bread or worms following a trickle of loose feed.

Tickets are £5 on the bank. They apply from dawn til dusk. Night fishing is available by strict prior arrangement only at £15. Disabled access. Barbless hooks only. No keepnets. Toilets available, pub food outlet nearby. Open all year.

To get here, exit M5 J23 or 24 and go into Bridgwater. In Bridgwater, pick up the A39 heading towards Cannington, then turn right onto the B3339, heading for Wembdon. Keep on this road until you see the Cokerhurst Farm sign on your left and turn in here.
