Middlesbrough AC has the fishing on these two, otter fenced pools. The first pool is just under an acre in size and is very popular with it's members as it contains carp into double figures, bream to 6lb, tench to 5lb 3oz, ide to 1lb 8oz, roach and rudd pushing a pound, perch to 12oz plus other species.
Try for the bigger carp to legered corn, pellet, luncheon meat or plain and simple maggot. For general mixed catches float fish soft pellet, meggot, caster, chopped worm, bits of paste or meat over little but often introduced loose feed. This is one of those waters where you simply don't know what you will hook next.
It's members only. Middlesbrough AC season permits are adults £35, new members add a one-off joining fee of £10, concessions £18/£5. 12 to 17 years are £10 while u12s, who must be adult accompanied, are £5. Fishing dawn til disk only. No carp in keepnets. Barbless hooks only. No boilies or floaters.
