There are two attractive, well established, privately owned pools to fish here. Set in a valley, they are conveniently sheltered from the elements. There are some nice carp in here, running to almost 20lb, tench to 5lb and plenty of roach and rudd.

The carp are wily creatures but do show to baits like corn, meat or a reasonable sized pellet, presented near to any feature, especially the islands. They also fall to freelined crust on the warmer evenings. Try floatfishing corn or redworm for the tench. You can have an enjoyable day with a box of maggots fishing for roach and rudd too.

Tickets are £5 and must be purchased from the farmhouse on the other side of the road to the pools before fishing. Fishing is dawn til dusk only. Barbless hooks only.

From Newquay head south on the A392 and turn left at the roundabout, still on the A392. At Lane turn right heading towards Trendrean. Go over the crossroads and the fishery is on the right with the farmhouse opposite, on the left.
